Church at Moreno Valley
Local Overseer
David Hesterly
Brother David Hesterly is the lead minister for the Church at Moreno Valley. He first met the Lord as a child in Santa Ana, California, receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost at age eleven. At twenty-five, his search for God led him through many churches until, in 2001, he was led to the Church of the Latter Rain in Moreno Valley when the church was first launched. The truth he heard about God’s divine order and the hope of eternal life drew him back, despite commuting over sixty miles from Costa Mesa. One Friday evening, after Brother Hawkins taught on the church being built on the rock, which is Jesus Christ, the Lord gave Brother David a personal revelation of the Body of Christ. That night, Sister Etta Hawkins asked if he knew what it meant to “buy the truth and sell it not,” explaining that it must be purchased with our lives and never traded for anything in this world. It was a life-changing moment, and the beginning of his new life in Christ, serving God in Spirit and in truth.
Brother David has been a faithful member of the church, volunteering on various church teams including maintenance, programs, and church clean up. He was ordained a minister in 2007 and works closely with other ministers to support the church, including: Brother Tim Drennen and Brother Rodney Thomas.
He is married to Sister Kinika Hesterly.
